STRESS RESILIENCE & NATURAL DEFENSES
Reishi is one of the most revered adaptogens in Taoist herbalism, prized for helping the body handle stress in a healthy way.² Research suggests it may also support longer, deeper sleep,³ and good sleep is a big part of how well we handle stress. Much of this is credited to reishi's triterpenes, compounds the mushroom produces as it grows slowly on hardwood.
Reishi has also been studied for its role in supporting a healthy immune system,¹ which is a big part of why it has been one of the most treasured tonics in Chinese herbalism for thousands of years.
50% FRUITING BODY DUAL EXTRACT
50% CRACKED SHELL SPORES
Most mushroom products on the market are pure mycelium, which is often mostly the grain it was grown on. Wood-grown fruiting body is a real step up. We go one level further and blend it 50/50 with reishi spores. Our fruiting body is extracted twice, in hot water and in alcohol, to capture both the water-soluble polysaccharides and the alcohol-soluble triterpenes.
Spores are what reishi releases at the end of its growing season, and they carry a concentrated dose of everything the mushroom has to offer. Their shells are indigestible, so they are cracked under high pressure to give your body access to what's inside. Look closely at the powder and you can see both: the lighter fruiting body extract and the dark spores, together in every spoonful.

WELL RESEARCHED
Reishi is one of the most studied mushrooms in the world. Research has looked at its role in immune support,¹ stress and mood,² and sleep,³ as well as heart health,⁴ blood sugar balance,⁵ and blood pressure.⁶
ULTRA PURE
Our reishi is grown on hardwood logs in the remote, pristine Dabie Mountains, following the Di Tao principle that an herb grows best in the place where it has evolved over millennia. It is never grown on grain, and no pesticides or herbicides are ever used.
SUPER POTENT
The fruiting body is extracted in both hot water and alcohol to pull out its full range of active compounds. It is then blended with spores whose shells have been cracked under high pressure so your body can absorb what's inside. No fillers, no grain, no flow agents.
-
A quarter teaspoon a day, and for many people that is plenty. This reishi is potent, so some people stay there and some work up toward half a teaspoon over time.
-
Reishi is bitter, and that bitterness is part of how you know it's the real thing. It disappears into anything chocolate, which is our favorite way to take it, and coffee handles it well too.
-
Any time of day. Many people take it in the morning or early afternoon for steadier stress resilience through the day. It is not a stimulant and won't keep you up, and it isn't a sedative either.
-
Yes. Reishi has been taken daily as a tonic in Chinese herbalism for thousands of years, and it works best as a steady part of your routine. If you have a health condition or take medication, check with your healthcare professional first.
-
Mycelium is the root-like network a mushroom grows from. Most mushroom products are pure mycelium grown on grain, and the finished powder is often mostly that grain. The fruiting body is the mushroom itself, and spores are what it releases at the end of its life. Ours is wood-grown fruiting body plus spores, with no mycelium or grain at all.
-
Please skip this one if you are allergic to mushrooms, pregnant, or breastfeeding (here's why). If you have a health condition or take medication, including blood thinners or blood pressure medication, check with your healthcare professional before use.
-
Spores have a tough outer shell your body can't break down on its own, so uncracked spores mostly pass straight through. Ours are cracked under high pressure, which opens the shell and makes what's inside available to your body.
-
Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reishi powder is shelf stable and holds its potency for a long time.
