THE BEAUTY MUSHROOM
Tremella grows on the branches of hardwood trees as a delicate, ruffled, translucent mushroom that looks a little like a snowflake. In China it's been enjoyed for more than 2,000 years, and the legendary beauty Yang Guifei is said to have credited it for her radiant skin.
Its secret is a family of natural polysaccharides that hold on to water remarkably well. In lab research, tremella polysaccharides helped protect skin from the effects of UV exposure,² and in a human study, adults taking tremella for 8 weeks saw improvements in memory compared with placebo.¹
GROWN ON WOOD, NOT GRAIN
Many mushroom powders are grown on rice or oats, and the finished powder is often mostly leftover grain. Ours is organically grown on hardwood, the way tremella grows in nature, so what you get is the real mushroom.
We extract it into a fine, creamy, off-white powder that's third-party tested for heavy metals. It's nearly flavorless and gives coffee and cacao a soft, silky body, which is why so many customers use it as a natural creamer.
THE BENEFITS OF TREMELLA
In this short video, we walk through the story of tremella, a mushroom treasured in Chinese herbalism for centuries, and what modern research is exploring about its role in skin health, hydration and overall wellness.
You'll also see why so many people love it in the kitchen. It's nearly flavorless and adds a silky, creamy body to coffee, cacao, smoothies and recipes.
SKIN HYDRATION
Tremella's polysaccharides hold on to water remarkably well, which is why it's loved for supple, hydrated skin from the inside out.²
2,000+ YEARS OF USE
Tremella has been treasured in Chinese herbalism for over 2,000 years as a tonic for beauty, the lungs and a long life.
MEMORY & CLARITY
In a placebo-controlled human study, adults taking tremella for 8 weeks saw improvements in memory and focus.¹
