Mangosteen Pericarp

Mangosteen is called the Queen of Fruits, and the sweet white pulp inside is delicious. But the compounds researchers care about are not in the pulp. They're in the deep purple rind that gets thrown away.

That rind is called the pericarp, and it's the only thing in this packet.

The pericarp is one of the richest known sources of xanthones, a rare class of polyphenol. Alpha-mangostin, gamma-mangostin, and the garcinones are concentrated there and essentially absent from the fruit. Almost every mangosteen product on the market is juice made from the pulp. Ours is the rind and nothing else.

Wildcrafted in Thailand, where mangosteen has been used medicinally the longest and where the rind is most potent. Freeze-dried with no heat and no mechanical grinding, because heat degrades xanthones and grinding creates heat through friction. Third-party tested for heavy metals.

Not an extract. No solvents, no standardization, no isolate. The whole pericarp, in the ratios the plant made it.

Powder: 1/2 tsp (1,750 mg) daily. Tart and astringent, so it does best stirred into cacao, a smoothie, or warm water with honey. 50g packet, about 29 servings.

Capsules: 5 capsules (350 mg each, 1,750 mg total) daily with food. The same dose as 1/2 tsp of powder, without the flavor. The shell is clear potato starch, so you can see the powder inside it. No gelatin, no synthetic cellulose. 100 capsules, 20 servings.
